SHOW ME QUESTIONS
During your practical driving test the examiner will ask you two questions. One of the questions will be asked by the examiner while you are driving. The show me question is to make sure you can keep driving safely while you operate some of the other controls of the car e.g. open a window or wash the rear window. There are 7 'show me' questions
1. When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you wash and clean the rear windscreen?
Push the right hand stalk away from you one click, this will activate your rear wiper. If you keep pushing it will activate the rear washer and wiper.
2. When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you wash and clean the front windscreen?
Pull and hold the right hand stalk towards you, this will activate your front washer and wiper.
3. When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d switch on your dipped headlights?
Pressing the 'MODE' button on the panel to the right of the steering wheel will activate the dipped headlights.
4. When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d set the rear demister?
Pressing the 'REAR' button (bottom right) on the panel to the right of the steering wheel will activate the rear demister.
5. When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d operate the horn?
Press the centre of the steering wheel to sound the horn.
6. When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d demist the front windscreen?
Pressing the 'MAX' button on the panel to the right of the steering wheel will activate the front demister.
7. When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d open and close the side window?
Using the window controls on the door panel press any button to lower a window. It doesn't matter which window you use but the buttons match the seating positions in the car.
