Driving in Sidmouth has many challenges that you might not have thought about. There are many tight residential streets, the ford and even the high street has it's own challenges. During the summer and especially when Sidmouth Folk Week is on there is so much more traffic. There are some nice quiet areas to start learning to drive from Manor car park to Malden Avenue. With areas like Woolbrook being a 20 mph zone you will be able to start learning to drive at a steady pace.
Once you become comfortable with the local area we will move on to more difficult conditions. Exmouth, Topsham, Cranbrook, Honiton and Ottery St Mary all offer their own road conditions and opportunities to develop your driving skills. Before long you will be taking to the roads in and around Exeter getting ready for your driving test.
